Rough Cut 2 Comments

We have asked various people that we know what they thought about our music video and what we could improve on.

Positive comments:

Good Lip sync

Variety of Shots

Good use of special effects

Negative Comments:

Use more appropriate shots

Add more thought beats

So far we are in the process of uploading and editing new footage. Once this is done we will add more thought beats as we have marked out where we want these to be placed.

Digipak Ideas

We have decided to include a QR Code within our digipak as we feel that this will make our digipak seem more modern and professional. We have found a site to create our own and we may add a link within it so you may be able to access another version of the video.

Further Development From Rough Cut 2

We have decided as the 'narrative' part of our music video works well with the full video to replace any sort of blurry footage with the narrative. We feel that this will give our video a more professional look and a fluent feel towards the editing.

We have added film burns and filled in the blank spaces with our 'narrative' part of our music video.We still have a lot of editing to do and will complete our editing list also.

Update on Editing

A few edits have been added so far with additional footage for the narrative. Slow motion shots have been filmed and all is ready to be edited.

Rescheduling of Shoot Days

As one band member is absent on the wednesday of shooting, we will aim to do a narrative part instead with the main singer if possible on Wednesday. If this doesn't work, we will try to film this Friday.

Inspirational Film Burn

This video of Enrique Englasias 'I like how it feels', has inspired us to use film burns as a transition instead of using the programmes own. We feel as this will help show our creativity and will help our music video to reach that professional look.

Update on Workflow

Currently we are producing slow motion sections using existing footage from the first video shoot. These will be added into the music video tomorrow. After this we will produce the second Rough Cut with selected cuts and slow motion shots. Another video shoot will be completed this Wednesday (9th November) which puts us ahead of the deadline.

Rough Cut

Here is our first rough cut. Later we will edit our music video and chose our preferred shots to be in the video.Currently we have only one setup with the band performing in the studio. With this we will have narrative shots which represent pressure and another location shot of the band to show more variety or shots and lighting effects.

The next rough cut will have more cuts to show more variety. After we will make sure the cuts are made according to the song to create thought beats.
